two lakes campout
Starting the thought process towards making a trip into kakwa falls this spring/summer wondering when would be good for ppl.

We could camp overnight at two lakes to make drive time more bearable or we could power in and out like last year

There is another trail im spacing on the name we would be able to run if se camped the night. Before and after.

Anyway here a place to discuss it set dates and plan it out!

WHO'S IN....?!?.......

RE: two lakes campout
I like camping at Two Lakes, especially when it's not busy. It's beautiful down there. Would have to be late June, July I would think, lot's of snow and raging river crossings.

RE: two lakes campout
well I get every weekend off so I'm pretty open too. Early june will be doing some fishing as thats a good time for it, so latter june/early july would be good.
good thinking on starting the planning now, we might get a few more people if we set a date early. How does june 29 and 30 sound? Its a long weekend. Or maybe we should set it for the weekend after? I normally don't go camping on long weekends, its jsut too hard to find a spot, atlthough that shouldnt be an issuse if we don't camp at the camp site.

RE: two lakes campout
The hardest part of the kakwa falls run is the length so i was hoping to brave the high water least a little bit. Last fall the creeks were streams and not a challenge. But i don't want to disinclude anybody any 4x4 can make the trip in during low water.

RE: two lakes campout
I call the weekend of july 20th as the end June Trent and I are going on a motorbike trip for 2 weeks(tentatively) and I would love to do this trip again as last summer we camped out in a clearing at Kakwa and loved it.

RE: two lakes campout
Ill be driving my truck with the camper in the box. The camp site would be nice but if we get more than 3 or 4 campers and jeeps it might not work that great. The air strip should work nicly for a bigger group. It's not that far from the lake to do a little flyfishing

RE: two lakes campout
I'm with the truck camper, jeep on a trailer crowd.
The lake is a beautful camping area and I would prefer that as the 4x4's go quicker on that road than campers do, plus there is a lake to fish in.
