Not to mention your wire harness will NOT plug into ls1 injectors. There's nothing wrong with tall intakes(longer runners make torque) and torque wins races.
What you looking at me gut for!

No nothing wrong with the huge tall center Intank on truck or SUV. But something u want look good (show off) I don't think the tall Intank is nice in that way. I'm not looking race. Just dependable every day driver. That sounds good, better mpg, with alot more power then 4.0 had. They sale pig tales to solder in to use the fbody injectors

RE: Starting a 99 WJ 5.3 swap
It's rained past three days. Couldn't get out change bolts in unibody mounts. I'm doing without shelter in drive way. I got garage but idiot we bought house from built a bed room in there. I got tare off later build back on back side of house later

I'm wanting do a test engine fit with manifolds. I bought a new flux mig 120 amp welder. Wanting on it get here. Incase I have to mod unibody any. Plus I wanted tack mounts just for safty to unibody. Just make me feel safer. It's LM7 cast block its super heavy. I'd like to get engine with trans atlest bolted in running before cold starts with snow

Using mesure tape and eye ball about where manifolds are going be. I shouldn't have to modify. If any might have to cut the bottom of hook up off to twist them some.

RE: Starting a 99 WJ 5.3 swap
Wires a balled up mess in picture. But each plug is labeled and separated. They just mixing while rolled up. If u pick up they all hang nice n neat for once. With all splices soldered heat taped. And stand alone wires for relays are all taped in one bundle. On each side. Easy access for relays to be mounted in hood to relays. Took me while. But I can say I done my self. Unlike alot pay for some else's harness. I did it and learned. I feel good about my work.

Ready hook on engine. Once get PCM where I need it. I'll add the black wire covers to wires. Can't wait see it look so clean like factory. Once all this dang rainy days quit

RE: Starting a 99 WJ 5.3 swap
Been adding gm harness back on engine today. I lack transmission and stand alone wires. Then putting coating on. Once its right length to be on passenger firewall with WJ PCM

Laid truck Intank on to get right length of wires. Where my ls1 Intank doesn't have injectors yet

Thanks. Always pronounced as in-tank. All my life.

Another thing please. I'm bad to over think things make things harder then needed. I've never done this swap ever. If u see something I'm doing I could do easier. Plz let me know. I don't argue but will give my reason an thought for reason I'm doing it my way. I'll think what was told me. Google it an will help me

RE: Starting a 99 WJ 5.3 swap
I wish some of the guys done this swap. Would post. I'd love know how they tied into speedo , tach, temp gage, oil presure, voltage clusters in the WJ. Plus the fuel pump signal. Gm uses + polarity signal. WJ uses - polarity for fuel pump relay.

So I could go ahead wire into what I need. Have marked ready sit engine in bay.

RE: Starting a 99 WJ 5.3 swap
For the oil pressure i would grab the sending unit off the old engine and put it onto the 5.3 may have to switch connectors and add an adaptor, same with temp gauge. Speedo, tach and voltage clusters i am not too sure of.

Anyone know what these two plugs are? Was on engine harness pluged into plugs between engine fuse box and PCM. I need a pin out chart for them. I already got pin outs for PCM c1 c2 c3 plugs
