RE: Yep.......
Ya not bad, after I sell the tires and winch it'll be a bargain. I got it insured today without an inspection, so that's good. It'll be all good when it's done, but I'm glad I didn't have to get it inspected before I mod it.
I'm finding some goofy things that previous owners had done, so once I get it in the shop and start going thru it, I don't think it'll be to bad.
The engines coming out and going to a machine shop because the oil is milky. The guy I bought it from figured the head gasket was blown, but it might have been in a water hole too, so internal damage might be possible.
I love how much room is in the cab, I haven't wheeled a 78 Chev in 20 years. Dmonkey

RE: Yep.......
Well, I pulled the head off because the guy I bought it from said it just started steaming from the tail pipe, so probably a head gasket. Yep, sure was, a long time ago. Head and block are all burnt thru and cracked, so the 454 is going to the steel bin.
Now I don't know what I'm going to do. I need to ponder this a little. I have a small block 350, but that's really not what I bought the truck for.
Maybe I should just focus on the buggy.

I seen Trent was having a yard sale this past weekend with a bunch of stuff that was meant for the buggy, including his trans he had built. Don't know if he sold it all or not, he had a bunch of tubing and stuff to

RE: Yep.......
Ya, not sure. It's pretty low on the priority list right now. It kinda looks like work is going to be busy right through to the winter season. Good for the bank account, not good for building toys. It might go to Brink Fab to get finished next spring after I modify the chassis over Christmas.
