99' Grand Cherokee Always Changing Build
Well I got a deal on a chevy 5.3l with 4l60e transmission, all the accessories, wiring, pcm, etc that I couldn't refuse. Me and Dave (Bolt on YJ) were hard at work getting the old 4.0 out last night and all went well. What a mess!

Got all the original wiring out and striped the stuff I didn't need. Huge mess of wires but how I got it all ready to hook 4 wires up on the new PCM and it should be integrated with the old one for the gauges and other things.

RE: WJ Engine Swap
With Corey and Dave 2.0s help last night we dropped the engine in to check exhaust and A/C compressor clearance. Well it didn't come anywhere near fitting so Corey went to work with his grinder and this is what we have so far!

Couple Engine shots, never had a camera last night to show it sitting in the engine bay.

Gotta add too, thanks so much to Corey and Dave 2.0 for the help last night and the hard work ahead. I couldn't be doing this without you guys.

Actually it is a mirror image of a Toy IFS box. Most similar in fact to a JK box.

Hows this swap coming along?
I'm interested to see if you get it going. If it works, maybe I'll put my LS1 in mine Twisted.

RE: WJ 5.3L Chevy Engine Swap
It's coming along. Have to plate the frame this weekend up front and figure out the motor mounts. After that I should have it running pretty quick. Still waiting on some parts though.

RE: WJ 5.3L Chevy Engine Swap
Not much for updates. I got most of the Chevy wiring integrated with the Jeep factory wiring. Gauges all seem to work. Just have to hook up one more relay and it should fire up. Rolls over now.

T-case clocking ring finally came today so it should be all done this weekend except for exhaust.
